This application uses Windows Media Player 11 which works with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
The County Appraiser does not set, nor collect taxes. Once the taxing jurisdictions, such as school districts and county governments (County Commissioners, city council, fire districts etc.) propose their budget, appraisal information is provided to the Records and Tax Administration (RTA).
The RTA is responsible for setting the mill levy and the County Treasurer is assigned to collect the taxes.
This Website provides constituents with extended public services and works best in Internet Explorer 5.0 or better.
There is also a map with directions to the Appraiser's Office, residential and commercial statistics such as the average appraised value of a home in Johnson County; publications such as the Annual Report; and Notes of Value quarterly newsletter and information on the County Appraiser; as well as a Glossary of Residential Characteristics, and how to contact us and/or provide feedback.
